How to use the solver
- Pick the grid size that matches your puzzle.
- In Numbers mode, tap the cells in order: the first tap places 1, the next 2, and so on. Tap a number again to remove it.
- Switch to Walls mode and tap the gap between two cells wherever your puzzle shows a thick wall.
- Press “Give me a hint” to draw the path to the next number, or “Show full solution” for the whole route.
The rules in 30 seconds
- Start on the cell marked 1.
- Visit the numbered cells in order — 1, 2, 3 … up to the last number, where the path ends.
- Move up, down, left or right; never diagonally, and never through a wall.
- Fill every cell of the grid exactly once.
Solving tips that actually help
- Corners and dead ends first: a cell with only two open neighbors must be passed straight through them.
- Don't cut the board in two. If a move would leave a pocket of cells you can't come back to, it's wrong.
- Think about the finish: the last number is the path's end, so cells around it are usually filled last.
- Long runs between two numbers usually sweep a whole area — trace the border of that area first.
- Parity helps on bigger boards: color the grid like a chessboard; each step changes color, so the start and end colors tell you whether the cell count works out.
Questions & answers
How big can the grid be?
The solver handles square boards from 5×5 to 10×10, which covers LinkedIn's daily Zip puzzles. Very open boards with almost no numbers can take a moment longer — real puzzles solve instantly.
What if it says there's no solution?
Double-check the numbers are in the right cells and in the right order, and that every wall is in place. One misplaced wall is enough to make a board impossible.
When does LinkedIn post a new Zip?
Every day at midnight Pacific Time (9:00 in most of Europe). Difficulty tends to climb through the week, peaking on Friday.
