Rows count from the top and columns from the left. The rule doing most of the work: no more than two suns or two moons may sit next to each other in a row or column.
- Row 1 has two suns side by side in columns 5 and 6, so column 4 of that row is a moon.
- Column 1 has two suns one above the other in rows 5 and 6, so row 4 of that column is a moon.
- Column 6 has two suns one above the other in rows 1 and 2, so row 3 of that column is a moon.
- Suppose row 1, column 1 were a sun. Then row 1 would have its three suns, so columns 2 and 3 of that row would be moons. That would make three moons in a row, in columns 2, 3, and 4 of row 1. So row 1, column 1 is a moon.
- Suppose row 6, column 6 were a sun. Then column 6 would have its three suns, so rows 4 and 5 of that column would be moons. That would make three moons in a row, in rows 3, 4, and 5 of column 6. So row 6, column 6 is a moon.
- Suppose row 4, column 5 were a moon. Then row 5, column 5 would be a sun, because of the × sign above it. Then row 6, column 5 would be a sun too, because of the = sign above it. Then column 5 would have its three suns, so rows 2 and 3 of that column would be moons. That would make three moons in a row, in rows 2, 3, and 4 of column 5. So row 4, column 5 is a sun.
- Row 5, column 5 is joined by an × sign to the sun above it, so it is the opposite: a moon.
- Row 5, column 4 is joined by an × sign to the moon to its right, so it is the opposite: a sun.
- Row 5, column 6 is joined by an × sign to the moon to its left, so it is the opposite: a sun.
- Row 6, column 5 is joined by an = sign to the moon above it, so it is a moon too.
- Row 6 has two moons side by side in columns 5 and 6, so column 4 of that row is a sun.
- Column 4 has two suns one above the other in rows 5 and 6, so row 4 of that column is a moon.
- Row 5 already has its three suns, so its open cells, columns 2 and 3, are moons.
- Column 2 has two moons one above the other in rows 5 and 6, so row 4 of that column is a sun.
- Row 6 already has its three moons, so its last open cell, column 3, is a sun.
- Column 6 already has its three suns, so its last open cell, row 4, is a moon.
- Row 4 already has its three moons, so its last open cell, column 3, is a sun.
- Column 2 needs just one more moon, and the × sign between rows 1 and 2 means one of those two cells is a moon. So row 3 of that column is a sun.
- Row 2, column 2 is joined by an × sign to the sun below it, so it is the opposite: a moon.
- Row 1, column 2 is joined by an × sign to the moon below it, so it is the opposite: a sun.
- Row 2, column 1 is joined by an × sign to the moon to its right, so it is the opposite: a sun.
- Row 2, column 3 is joined by an × sign to the moon to its left, so it is the opposite: a sun.
- Column 3 has suns in rows 2 and 4, so row 3 between them is a moon: another sun would make three in a row.
- Row 1 already has its three suns, so its last open cell, column 3, is a moon.
- Row 2 already has its three suns, so its open cells, columns 4 and 5, are moons.
- Column 4 has two moons one above the other in rows 1 and 2, so row 3 of that column is a sun.
- Column 1 already has its three suns, so its last open cell, row 3, is a moon.
- Row 3 already has its three moons, so its last open cell, column 5, is a sun.

How to play Tango
- Fill every cell with either a sun or a moon.
- Each row and each column holds the same number of suns and moons — three of each on a 6×6 board.
- No more than two identical symbols may sit next to each other in a row or column.
- Cells joined by = must match; cells joined by × must be opposites.
